Best Guide I Have On Interviewing

96 Great Interview Questions to Ask Before You Hire is as relevant now as it was when it was published. I've had it for years and find that I have to review it from time to time because it is easy to forget why you have to ask certain questions in an interview.

Falcone's book is the best single guide I have on the subject of interviewing. He explains the ways to go about conducting different types of interviews and why they should be conducted in their respective manners. The college recruit, the sales person, the senior manager and others all require specialized interviews.

The book gives the goals of the interview rounds in the event that your company conducts a series of interviews. For example, there may be a first interview with a human resource manager that provides the first level of qualification and that might be followed up with an interview with the actual manager that the candidate would report to. In each case, Falcone provides the types of questions that will meet the goals of the interview and provides reasoning to show why those questions might be asked.

Complimenting the portions covering the questions to ask in an interview are sections on what cannot be asked, checking references and how to go about offering a job and perhaps negotiating with the candidate.

Experience has taught me that it is very tempting to gloss over any one of the necessary steps and that doing so is always a bad idea. Even if you have every reason to believe you will hire the individual regardless of the interview and reference check process, it is still something that should be done for several reasons, which Falcone ably provides.

Feedback from our managers was positive. Most of the time, the basic interview questions are asked by hiring managers. How do you move beyond the questions that give back basic replies and commonplace answers and get to the REAL answers you're looking for? This book will help you craft your questions so that you get the information you need to determine if a candidate will be a good hire.

This series "theatre & ______" is a great introduction to many subfields in theatre scholarship. This particular book, Theatre & Museums, is a great introduction to the intersections of theatre and museum studies written by Susan Bennett, a leader in the field. The book is not very long, I think about 90 pages and can easily be read in one sitting.

I would recommend it for any person interested in theatre studies and/or museum studies who wants a quick introduction to the field. Think of it as a narrativized annotated bibliography.

The author stood in the modest court room in Ahmedabad where Gandhi was found guilty of sedition by that same Raj and ventured into the prisons to which Gandhi was so often consigned. Turner walked along the beach at Juhu where the Mahatma went to recuperate, and talked with Rajmohan at Birla House in New Delhi where his grandfather was assassinated. The result is both a fascinating journey and a candid and immensely readable portrait of the man who, with all his well-documented foibles and weaknesses, not only led his country to freedom but also lit up the world with his life and ideas.

Though I have read numerous biographies of Gandhi, this one was my favorite. The book did an outstanding job of avoiding hagiography and really let the reader know the human sacrifices Gandhi made to achieve his objectives. And if there was one human quality that was echoed over and over it was Gandhi's perseverance. Arts in general, and films in particular, are shown to display salient and dynamic roles in appealing to a wide variety of regular and special needs learners. About the Author
Maher Bahloul is the Director and General Manager of an Education Through Arts Institute - Maher Language Institute (MLI) - which he founded in 2007 in Paris, France. MLI has been holding language sessions and promoting learning through filmmaking Dr. Bahloul holds a PhD in Linguistics from Cornell University, New York, USA, and a Masters' degree from the Sorbonne University, Paris III, France. He has taught in a number of graduate and undergraduate programs in the United States, North Africa, and the Middle East. He has also presented papers and conducted workshops in international conferences such as TESOL, ALS, INTED, IVACS, IATEFL. At MLI, he focuses on promoting language learning through bilingual video-project productions, especially films. Dr. Bahloul is currently an Associate Professor of English and Linguistics at the American University of Sharjah. Carolyn Graham is the creator of Jazz Chants, which connect the rhythm of spoken American English to the beat of jazz. She developed the technique of jazz chanting during her twenty-five years of teaching ESL in the American Language Institute of New York University. She has also taught at Harvard University and has conducted workshops in the NYU School of Education, Columbia Teachers College in New York and Tokyo, and elsewhere throughout the world. She has also worked with regular and special needs learners. Ms. Graham is the author of numerous Jazz Chants books, all published by Oxford University Press.

This is the best book when learning about Anatomy and Physiology. You can download it free, read it online or buy the book. I choose to buy the book and am not dissapointed. Easy to read, review questions at the end and much more.

Awesome. I couldn't find some of the information I needed from my other a&p book, marieb 9e, and this one had everything I needed. I like the graphics in this book & find them to be very helpful. I couldn't figure out what phagocytes were involved in the innate immunity & this book has a graphic that organized everything so I wasn't just assuming. I also like the histology graphics, there's an animated photo & an actual photo pictomicrograph for most tissues. I ordered this book after we did the cardiac chapter, but I think the graphics are far better than in the marieb book. I was struggling to try and match the mechanical & electrical cardiac events & this book shows it in a graphic, which would have been very helpful. Wish I would have ordered this book in the beginning of the semester. I first came across this book on their website (it's available for free as a pdf) & I kept printing off pages. I figured I'd rather just buy the book than have a bunch of loose pages all over the place. I looked on amazon to see if it was available in a printed edition & it was. Thanks to this book I passed my a&p 1 final with a B. I've attached pictures of some of the graphics I found to be very useful.
